Centre for Cement Research and Independent Testing (CRT)

This centre executes its activities in the areas of Research and development studies, Industry sponsored projects, testing and calibration services. Laboratories are NABL accredited, BIS recognised & ISO certified, and equipped with state-of-art facilities.

Services Offered

• Preparation of standards for XRF calibration
• Evaluation of raw materials, fuels used in cement manufacturing and optimization of raw mix to improve clinker quality.
• Establishing Limestone Consumption Factor
• Assessment of quality control laboratories of the cement plants
• Hands on training to cement industry professionals on various aspects of testing, quality control in cement plants etc.

Independent Testing Services (INT)

• Independent Testing Laboratories (ISO 17025 accredited) undertake complete physical, chemical, various types of raw materials, cement, clinker, pozzolana, aggregate, concrete, water, refractory, bricks
• Mineralogical analyses of clinker, glass content of Slag by microscopy
• Coal, lignite (proximate and GCV) etc; as per BIS standards
• Particle size analysis of raw materials, cements, kiln feed
• Quality Monitoring services for quarterly samples of Raw materials, clinker and cements for one year
• Contact training on Physical testing of Cements and chemical testing of cements, raw materials by EDTA
• Minor constituent’s estimation by spectrophotometer
